This is the promotional poster and accompanying booklet design, featuring an interview with the director, created for one of my all-time favorite films, Ratcatcher (1999). Set against the backdrop of the 1970s garbage workers' strike, this film marks the directorial debut of Lynne Ramsay, who draws deeply from her childhood in Glasgow, Scotland. It explores the poignant journey of children searching for comfort in a fractured society while facing the brutal realities of life. In the film, the father character uses cigarettes and alcohol to numb his pain, which inspired my design choices for both the poster and the booklet cover. I used tobacco from cigarettes to piece together the film's title, "Ratcatcher," reflecting the raw and gritty essence of the story.
